For a senior student athlete, walking off the field after your last game can be a heart wrenching experience. Full of emotion, it can also signal the inevitable transition of leaving school and chlldhood behind. The end of the Fall soccer season is just the first of a yearful of "senior moments", "senior transitions". The coach not only developed a successful soccer team, but he skillfully developed a community of young men that cared for and about each. This was evident by the hugs and words of the young men as they lingered on the field, some trying to put off, for as long as possible, the walk off the high school feld for the last time.
